I am going to do both of them even if I only have to do one.

a. 3cm + 3cm + 8cm + 8cm = 22cm

b. 4cm + 4cm + 4cm + 4cm + 3cm + 3cm + 3cm + 6cm = 31cm

c. area = h·w

2cm·4cm = 8cm (squared)

3cm·2cm = 6cm (squared)

8cm + 6cm = 14cm (squared)

d. area = h·w

20mm·30mm = 60mm

20mm·20mm divide by 2 = 20mm

60mm + 20mm = 80mm

These are the answers i got for this assignment.

A) 8+8=16 3+3=6 16+6=22cm2

B) 4x4=16 3x3=9 16+9=25 25+6=31cm2

C)pt.1 2x4=8cm2 / 3x2=6cm2

I got found these answers by pretending to cut the shape to make two different shapes. Then I used the formula Height times Width to get the asnwers fr the two.

D) (rectangle)30x20=600mm2 (trianlge) 20x20=400 divided by 2=200mm2 For the rectanlge part I used the regular formula height times width which was 20 and 30. For the trianlge part I figured out where the dotted line was, and I know that the width is 20 because in the rectangle the 30 mm was already used up in that full 50 mm at the bottom, so I subtracted 50 from 30. I also found out that the diagnal part was 20 because across from the diagnal line was a 20 and I know that a numbers across from each other are the same. So my formula for the triangle is HxW divided by 2 equals area of trianlge and that eqalled 200mm2.

formula for perimeter:h+w=P

formula for area: h x w = P

if area has a half(half of square= triangle) formula is: h x w divided by 2 = A

answers:

a)8+8+3+3= perimeter of 22cm

b)4+4+4+4+3+3+3+6= perimeter of 35cm

c)formula is: h x w = A

2x4=8 3x2=6 8+6=14 cm area:14cm

d)formula: h x w divided by 2=A

30mm x 20mm = 600mm

50mm - 30mm = 20mm

20mm x 20mm = 400mm divided by 2 = 200mm

TOTAL AREA: 800mm

Formulas:

D)Answer: 600cm 2

16+6=22 The perimeter is 22cm sq
